What it costs
Three packages, one for each distance along the branch: to the plan, to the complete file, or all the way through the submission and every reply. Each is quoted in writing after the free application review, so the price fits the branch you are on, not a menu.
We quote, we do not list. After the free application review names your branch in writing, you receive a fixed fee for one of three packages: Determination & Plan, The Complete File, or Full Handover, the premium package that takes the whole process off your desk through the submission and every reply until approval. There is no hourly billing, and if the review finds a clean determination draft the advice is to file it yourself.
Determination & Plan
the reading, your branch on the tree, and the document plan for it- your fork answers read against the project as you plan to run it, not as you hope it reads
- your branch named in writing: determination, exempt, expedited or talk-first, with the reasons
- where the branch is talk-first, the small truthful redesign drawn out for you, if one exists
- the document plan for that branch, in build order, so nothing is drafted twice
- the intent statement and determination request read and tightened, when that is your leaf
- you build and file the folder yourself from the plan

The Complete File
Determination & Plan, plus every document built and version-matched, ready to file- everything in Determination & Plan
- the application pages, in the structure WGU's current portal expects
- the consent file: information sheet, recruitment email, flyer and huddle script, one story across all of it
- instruments aligned to the stated aim, exactly as participants will see them
- the data-security plan, specific to drive, access and destruction trigger
- the site permission letter drafted for the signer's letterhead, and the request carried
- a final read of the whole folder for drift, then you file it

Full Handover
most chosenThe Complete File, plus the submission, every reply to the board, amendments and continuing review until approval: the whole branch off your desk- everything in The Complete File
- the submission itself, filed through WGU's current portal, with the confirmation kept
- every revision note answered in the board's own order, every affected page revised, the file resubmitted
- amendments when the project changes after approval
- continuing-review replies when the board sends them, until the project closes
- one message from the desk at each station, so you always know where the folder is

How the quote is made
-
You send where the tree left you
Use the contact form: which leaf, where the capstone stands, and whatever exists. Nothing needs to be finished; a blank page and a worry is a fine starting point.
-
We read it, free
Lydia Fairbanks reads the aim statement against the four forks and replies by email or phone. If your determination draft is clean, the reply says so: file it yourself, and there is no quote.
-
The branch is named in writing
You receive the reading: which leaf, why, and what the folder for that leaf needs. This is the same reading that opens Determination & Plan, so nothing is done twice.
-
The quote follows, in writing
A fixed fee for the package that fits, with what it covers and how it is paid. No hourly billing, no surprise lines. You can take the smaller package and move up later if the branch turns out heavier than hoped.
-
Work starts on your word
The longest limb is requested first, usually the site letter, and you hear from the desk at each station after that.
Not in any package
- The research itself: the question, the design, the data, the analysis, the findings and the write-up stay yours.
- The board's decision, or any promise about it: the determination, the category, the approval and their timing are the board's own.
- Anything that must be done in your name: the human-subjects training record WGU's current handbook expects, your signatures, and the signature of the person at the facility who can grant access.
Pricing questions, answered first
Is the application review really free?
Yes. The free application review is the entry to everything else and carries no obligation. It ends in a written reading of your branch, and when the honest reading is "a clean determination draft, file it yourself", that is the advice you get, with no quote attached.
Why is the price quoted rather than listed?
Because the branch decides the folder. A determination request is a few precise paragraphs; an expedited file with a site letter and a data-security plan is a different piece of work. The quote is written after the reading so the fee matches the branch you are actually on, and it is fixed, not hourly, so it cannot grow.
Can I start with Determination & Plan and move up later?
Yes, and many files do. The reading and the plan are the same documents that open the larger packages, so if the branch turns out heavier than hoped, or you would simply rather not build the folder yourself, the quote for The Complete File or Full Handover is written against the same reading and nothing is drafted twice.
What does Full Handover not include?
The research, the board's decision, and anything that must be done in your name. We do not conduct the project, author findings or represent any university; we do not promise what the board will decide or when; and the training record, your signatures and the facility's signature are yours to give. Everything between those points is inside the fee.
What happens to the fee if the board returns the file?
On Full Handover, every reply until approval is inside the fixed fee: revision notes, amendments and continuing review are ours to answer, not extra lines. On Determination & Plan and The Complete File you file and answer the board yourself, and the desk is there if you decide to hand the branch over at that point.
The quote starts with the free review.
Tell us which leaf the tree gave you and where the capstone stands. You will have a written reading of the branch, and a fixed fee for the package that fits it, or the advice to file it yourself.
